Stable Environment and Consistent Routines

Sibling Attendance Policy
To minimize disruptions and prevent illness spread, siblings should attend daycare on the same days and be dropped off/picked up at the same time. Siblings are required to stay home together to prevent the spread of illness. Here's a more detailed explanation:
Consistency and Routine:
Children thrive on routines, and consistent daycare attendance helps them feel secure and reduces potential behavioral issues, like crying and separation anxiety at drop-off time. Having a stable pick-up time routine is also helpful for the children and for their Childcare Provider.
Preventing the Spread of Illness:
When one sibling is sick, it's highly likely that the other sibling has also been exposed, even if they haven't yet shown symptoms. Keeping siblings home together can help prevent the spread of illness within the daycare environment. (Incubation period after exposure to virus is 24-72 hours).
Sibling Sick Policy:
Sick policy requires siblings to stay home if one child is ill, until symptoms are gone.
-
Asymptomatic siblings must stay home.
-
Keep both children home if one child has a fever of 99°F or higher with illness symptoms, a strong cough, vomiting, diarrhea, or highly contagious illnesses like the common cold or pink eye.
Return to School Policy:
Your children can return to school after 24 hours of being fever-free and without symptoms; also eating, drinking, and playing normally.
If both parents do not agree with all of the daycare’s terms and conditions for sibling attendance, please do not enroll your children together at Luisa’s Child Care. Please be courteous and provide a two-week notice if one or both enrollments will be terminated.
